MPs request 'urgent' meeting with security minister after 'threat to life warnings' given to UK Sikhs

Reports of death threats against Sikhs in the UK are grabbing headlines. A group of British MPs has requested an urgent meeting with the Minister of Defense in this regard.

A report recently emerged that West Midlands Police had issued Osman Warnings in March to three members of a family, meaning their lives were in danger and although there is information but not enough evidence to make an arrest.

An inquiry is also being demanded regarding the death of Sikh activist Avtar Singh Khanda. Khanda died last year after a sudden illness. According to information, Labour MPs Preet Kaur Gill, Afzal Khan and Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi and some Conservative MPs have written to Union Defense Minister Tom Tugendhat demanding to convene the meeting.

Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi spoke in Parliament on this issue and asked the government what it was doing to ensure the safety and security of British Sikhs.
