Two dead in multi-vehicle crash just south of Whitehorse

A motorcyclist from Whitehorse and a Manitoba woman travelling in Yukon have died in a multi-vehicle crash just south of Whitehorse.

RCMP and the coroner say an eastbound vehicle tried to pass another but clipped it and veered into the path of the oncoming motorcyclist.

43 year old Travis Adams died at the scene along with 47 year old Nicole Sanderson of Winnipeg, who was a passenger in the vehicle.

Police say the driver of the car carrying Sanderson and a passenger in the vehicle were seriously hurt but are expected to recover.
