Govt issues travel advisory for Canadians, advises to avoid 21 places

Canadians have also been advised to avoid non-essential travel to nine countries, including Israel, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Congo.

The holiday season is about to begin in Canada during which many Canadians are able to travel but in the meantime it is important to keep in mind the travel advisory issued by the government.

At present, the Canadian government has advised not to travel to 21 places. These include Russia, Ukraine, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Syria and Venezuela. In addition, there are regional advisories for some locations that mean there may be a risk for travelers in a particular location in the country concerned. Canadians have also been advised to avoid non-essential travel to nine countries, including Israel, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Congo.

At the same time, regarding France, Egypt, China, Thailand, Brazil, Vietnam and Cuba, the government has advised Canadians to take a high level of caution there. It is worth noting that in view of the crisis in some countries of the world, the Government of Canada issues travel advisory from time to time for Canadians so that they do not have to get caught in any crisis.

A tornado that touched down in central Alberta on Saturday damaged homes, knocked down trees and blocked roads in parts of Clearwater County, including the Town of Rocky Mountain House. A wildfire has destroyed much of the seasonal camp at Whitewater Lake First Nation, located about 250 kilometres north of Thunder Bay, marking the second First Nation community in Ontario to suffer significant wildfire damage in less than a week. Canada’s annual inflation rate eases to 2.8% in June as gasoline prices fall

Canada’s annual inflation rate slowed to 2.8 per cent in June, down from 3.2 per cent in May, largely because of lower gasoline prices, according to Statistics Canada. Brampton man identified as homicide victim after body found in Stoney Creek

Hamilton Police have identified a man whose body was found in a Stoney Creek creek on Wednesday morning as 29-year-old Taranpreet Singh Sidhu of Brampton.
