Three Hockey Players from Punjab Honoured by President Draupadi Murmu

Indian hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh received the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, while Sukhjit Singh Kaka and Jarmanpreet Singh were honoured with the Arjuna Award.

Three hockey players from Punjab were honoured with the highest sports awards by President Draupadi Murmu today. Indian hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh received the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, while Sukhjit Singh Kaka and Jarmanpreet Singh were honoured with the Arjuna Award.

Sukhjit Singh from Jalandhar and Jarmanpreet Singh from Amritsar are considered rising stars of the Indian hockey team. Under the leadership of captain Harmanpreet Singh, the Indian hockey team has won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, a gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games, and a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
