Can continue to work.

The relief given by the Government of Canada to international students to work more than 20 hours is ending on April 30.

Meanwhile, reports say that the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship is considering a permanent change to increase the working hours for international students from 20 to 30 hours.

Immigration Minister Mark Miller announced the reduction in the number of international students in January, saying that students who are already in Canada or who have applied for a study permit by December 7, 2023 will be able to work without the 20-hour limit until April 30.

Earlier, the federal government said in a December news release that the government may increase the off-campus work hours for international students to 30 hours per week.

Many international students said that 20 hours of work a week is too little to meet the expenses, but the government also fears that if this limit is completely removed, many students may lose the purpose of studying.

Majithia’s counsel argued that since the charge sheet has already been filed, there was no justification for the government to continue opposing bail. The defence pointed out that the Supreme Court had earlier dismissed an investigation report in a related NDPS mat
