The Center has sought a report from the Punjab government regarding the birth of a child with IVF technology at the home of Sidhu Moosewala's parents.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has sought this information under the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021.

The department says that according to the law, the age limit for conception through IVF is between 21 and 50 years. Therefore, the Punjab government is requested to investigate the matter and submit the report to the department.

It is to be noted that earlier Balkaur Singh had said in his video message that the Punjab government is troubling him.

Now it has come to light that the center has asked for information about IVF treatment. In India, there is a rule that women above 50 years of age should not undergo IVF.

The reason for making this rule is that older women are at risk of developing health problems.
