French President Emmanuel Macron attended India's 75th Republic Day as the Chief Guest today.
President Draupadi Murmu also hosted a state dinner in Macron's honour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present with him. The President of France is the first foreign guest to pay a state visit to India this year.

On the other hand, the High Commission of Canada in India also congratulated the Republic Day.
The President of Maldives also congratulated on this occasion and hoped that the age-old friendship between the two countries will be strengthened.
