The Mohammad Muizu government of Maldives has started negotiations on the issue of sending back the Indian soldiers.

According to information, the two countries held a second round of talks on this issue in New Delhi on Friday.

The first meeting was held in Malé, the capital of Maldives. Its purpose is to find a solution that is acceptable to both countries.

About 75 Indian troops are present in the Maldives, assisting the army there in non-military operations. Muizu raised the issue of the presence of Indian troops in the Maldives during the election campaign last year and campaigned to send them back.

The Muizu government of Maldives had recently asked the Indian troops to leave the country by March 15. According to the report, this issue was also raised during the meeting between Mohammad Muizu and PM Narendra Modi last year.
