Majithia openly opposed the decision, which led to resignations by Akali leaders aligned with him.

Bikram Singh Majithia is reportedly upset with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), prompting efforts to reconcile and address the growing rift between him and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

According to reports, Shiromani Akali Dal’s working president Balwinder Singh Bhunder and former party MLA Virsa Singh Valtoha recently visited Majithia’s residence in Chandigarh to discuss the matter. However, they were unable to meet him.

The conflict within the party began when the SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) removed Jathedars Sehban Giani Raghbir Singh and Sultan Singh. Majithia openly opposed the decision, which led to resignations by Akali leaders aligned with him.

As of now, despite Bhunder and Valtoha’s efforts, neither Sukhbir Badal nor Majithia has issued any public statements regarding a resolution to the dispute.
