The Punjab-Haryana High Court issued a notice to MP Amritpal Singh from Khadur Sahib in Dibrugarh Jail on the challenge to his parliamentary membership and ordered him to file a reply by October 25.
In fact, Vikramjit Singh, who contested as an independent candidate from the Khadur Sahib seat during the Lok Sabha elections, challenged Amritpal Singh's parliamentary membership in the High Court.
Vikramjit Singh alleges that Amritpal hid many information in his nomination papers during the elections, due to which his parliamentary membership should be cancelled.
