In Punjab, Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP may stop forming an alliance. The Shiromani Akali Dal's core committee has set conditions for an alliance with the BJP, which it says will not agree to a negotiated solution to the farmers' demands and the release of jailed Singhs, including Bhai Amritpal Singh.

There should not be an alliance with BJP for that long. It is to be noted that the core committee of Akali Dal has kept these conditions when it was being said that talks are going on between the two parties regarding the distribution of seats and a decision may come soon.
