Surrey: IHIT called out to residence in Fraser Heights

Surrey RCMP is on the scene at a residence in the Fraser Heights area where three deceased persons have been located inside the house.

On January 9, 2023, shortly after 12:00 p.m., Surrey RCMP attended a residence in the 15600-block of 112 Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered three deceased persons inside the home, whom are believed to be part of the same family. No one else was located at the property.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with Surrey RCMP. Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase; however do not believe that there is any ongoing risk to public safety.

IHIT takes over Surrey homicide investigation after fatal Laurel Drive shooting

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over a homicide investigation following a fatal shooting early Saturday at a residence in Surrey. According to an IHIT news release, officers with the Surrey Police Service responded at about 1:40 a.m. to reports of shots fired inside a home in the 13900 block of Laurel Drive. 81-year-old man charged with second-degree murder after fatal shooting at Port Alberni trailer park

An 81-year-old man from Port Alberni has been charged with second-degree murder after a fatal shooting at a trailer park on Vancouver Island Friday night. According to a statement from the B.C.
