Statistics Canada says annual inflation rate hit 6.7 per cent in March

Inflation soared to 6.7 per cent last month -- up from 5.7 per cent in February.

That's the fastest year-over-year increase since January 1991.

You don't have to look much further than prices at the pumps to see what's fuelling inflation.

Gasoline prices rose 39.8 per cent from last March.

Homeowner replacement costs, which includes prices for new homes, rose 12.9 per cent year-over-year.
