SGPC demands resignation from Bhagwant Mann

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over the recent firing by the police in Sultanpur Lodhi Gurdwara Sahib.

A special meeting was called by SGPC on Thursday, in which 4 resolutions were passed. The second resolution in this includes filing an FIR under 295A against Bhagwant Mann.

Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Bhagwant Mann is the Home Minister of Punjab and it is not possible for the police to fire without his approval.

The SGPC President said that the SGPC delegation will soon meet Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit in this regard.
