The Punjab government on Wednesday launched an anti-corruption action helpline number on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas. The WhatsApp helpline number is +91 95012 00200.

After Bhagwant Mann had sworn in as chief minister on March 16, he had announced that the government will launch a helpline to curb corruption in the state. He said that WhatsApp number will be his personal number and people can send videos or audios and lodge complaints as he will personally look into every corruption case.

Meanwhile, the Punjab CM visited Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, and paid homage to the freedom fighter.

Mann took the oath of office and secrecy at Khatkar Kalan village in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district on March 16. Soon after the swearing-in ceremony, he had said that he would launch an anti-corruption helpline on Martyrs' Day.

In remembrance of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has announced a state holiday in the state. The AAP government has said that in all the government offices the portraits of Bhagat Singh and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar will be installed.

A 77-year-old man has died under suspicious circumstances in Fort St. James, B.C., with RCMP’s Major Crime Unit investigating the death as a possible homicide. Police said officers were called to a home in the 800-block of Spruce Road at around 2:40 a.m. Monday. They found the elderly man seriously injured at the scene and rushed him to hospital, where he later died despite medical efforts. The suspected attackers had fled before police arrived. Calgary Man Charged Over Death Threat Against PM Mark Carney

A 31-year-old Calgary man has been charged with allegedly making a death threat against Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. Bomb Threat Forces Emergency Landing of IndiGo Flight in Ahmedabad

An IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport on Thursday evening after receiving a bomb threat. Police said IndiGo flight 6E97 landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at around 5:45 p.m. local time.
