Punjab Congress has demanded the Election Commission to change the voting date for the state.
Pratap Singh Bajwa says that when the voting for the Lok Sabha election is to be held in the state, the farmers will be busy sowing paddy in the fields, so the vote percentage may fall.
Bajwa alleged that the entire schedule was made as part of a conspiracy to benefit the BJP. It is to be noted that the voting for the Lok Sabha is to be held in 7 rounds from April 19, there are 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and the date of voting in the state is June 1. On that day, voting will also be held on one seat of Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.
