Meeting between a Central team led by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and farmers’ representatives to discuss their various demands, including a legal guarantee for MSP on crops, was held here cordially for two-and-a-half-hour on Friday. Jagjit Singh Dallewal was taken to the conference hall on a stretcher, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi urged the two forums SKM and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha to request Jagjit Singh Dallewal to end his fast.

However, Jagjit Singh Dallewal and the two forums made it clear that their protest will continue till a law is made for MSP. Now the second round of meeting between the farmers and the Centre will be held on February 22. For this meeting, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal was specially brought in an ambulance from Khanauri border. Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, DGP Gaurav Yadav also participated in the deliberations.

An attack at North Island College’s Comox Valley campus in British Columbia has left two people injured. Bomb Threat Forces Emergency Landing of IndiGo Flight in Ahmedabad

An IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport on Thursday evening after receiving a bomb threat. Police said IndiGo flight 6E97 landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at around 5:45 p.m. local time.
