Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has appointed Punjabi film industry renowned actor Bal Mukand Sharma as Food Commissioner of Punjab. He has also worked as a senior officer in Markfed for a long time.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has assigned this task to him just a day before the election code is announced tomorrow. The post was lying vacant since the retirement of DP Reddy.
