Mark Carney, Pierre Poilievre, and Jagmeet Singh, who are competing to become the Prime Minister of Canada, will soon face off in a series of debates. Leaders' Debate Commission announced on Monday that the candidates will be invited to participate in two debates in mid-April.

The first debate, conducted in French, will be held in Montreal on the night of April 16, while the second, in English, will take place the following evening on April 17. In addition to the leaders of the three major parties in the federal elections, the Green Party and the Bloc Québécois will also be participating.

Liberal Leader Mark Carney, addressing the people in Newfoundland today, criticized both Donald Trump and Pierre Poilievre, likening them to "two sides of the same coin." He stated that Trump’s strategy is to "divide and conquer," a criticism he extended to Poilievre's approach as well.
