Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be landing in London later today.

Trudeau, Governor General Mary Simon and four former prime ministers are part of a Canadian delegation who will attend Monday's funeral for Queen Elizabeth the Second.

Security is high in London as world leaders begin to arrive for the funeral that's expected to draw hundreds of thousands of people to the city.

Streets around the Palace of Westminster have been blocked off with metal barricades today, with police officers from across the UK directing the crowd waiting to pay their respects to the late queen.

It's expected those now in line will have to wait 24 hours.

Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to impose a 16-year prison sentence on a Calgary man convicted of participating in the activities of the Islamic State group after travelling to Syria more than a decade ago. Abbotsford hotel death under investigation by IHIT

Abbotsford police have turned over an investigation into a death at a local hotel to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. Police say officers were called to a report of suspicious circumstances at a hotel along Marshall Road near Clearbrook Road.
