Poilievre proposes mandatory prison to combat rise of extortion

BY The Connect News, Feb 9, 2024 6:28 PM - REPORT AN ERROR

Poilievre also targeted the Housing and Immigration Minister

In an exclusive interview at Connect FM's studio today, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre attacked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and said that the situation has deteriorated during his 8-year tenure.

At the same time, Poilievre also targeted the Housing and Immigration Minister.

He said that Canada is facing such a crisis because of their policies.

Meanwhile, he also spoke about the record increase in incidents of extortion, which is much higher in British Columbia than in other provinces and urged on atleast three years of prison for culprits.

It is worth noting that due to the housing issue in Canada, questions are already being raised about the performance of the Trudeau government and now the opposition is taking a dig at Trudeau due to the increase in auto theft and extortion cases.
