Pakistan retaliated against Iran, carried out airstrikes on terrorist bases

BY The Associated Press, Jan 18, 2024 3:39 PM - REPORT AN ERROR

This air strike was carried out by penetrating 48 km inside the border of Iran

Pakistan has retaliated against terrorist positions in Iran's Sistan-Baluchistan province late on Wednesday night.

This air strike was carried out by penetrating 48 km inside the border of Iran. For this, fighter jets and drones were used. Pakistan claims that it killed many terrorists in Iran's Sistan-Baluchistan. However, Iran said that 9 people, including 4 children and 3 women, were killed in Pakistan's airstrikes and none of them were Iranian citizens.

In less than 48 hours of the air strike by Iran, Pakistan retaliated under operational procedures. Late on Tuesday, Iran attacked the positions of the terrorist group Jaish al-Adal in the border town of Panjgur in Balochistan province of Pakistan.

Pakistan warned that it will not compromise its national security and territorial integrity and will take all necessary steps to protect its soil.
