Three days before the general elections in Pakistan, a terrorist attack took place on a police station in Dera Ismail Khan city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday morning.

In this, 10 police personnel died and 6 were injured. Currently, no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. Police chief Akhtar Hayat said that around 3 am, more than 30 terrorists attacked the police station. They surrounded the police station from all sides and threw grenades.

After this the firing started. The police also retaliated. It lasted for about two and a half hours but the terrorists escaped. A search operation is on to nab them.

It is to be noted that Pakistan has general elections on February 8. Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz comes to power, he will not be a part of it.
