4 proposals including the Panchayati Raj Bill were unanimously passed in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha today. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the panchayat elections will no longer be held on the basis of any party, the unanimously elected panchayat will be given five lakh rupees.
Along with this, the proceedings of the House were adjourned indefinitely on the last day of the three-day session of the Legislative Assembly. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab's agricultural policy is ready, soon a meeting will be held with all stakeholders including farmers.
The Chief Minister criticized the three agricultural laws of the Modi government and said that the Center had not taken the opinion of the farmers while making these laws. Apart from this, the Punjab government has also decided to form an industrial advisory board, whose chairman will be given the status of a cabinet post.
