The political parties of Punjab have expressed disappointment with the Union Budget 2024. Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal said that none of Punjab's demands have been met in the budget and no tax relief has been given to the industry.
He said that the central government could not even give a legal guarantee for MSP. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party Finance Minister in Punjab Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Center treated Punjab like a stepmother.
He said that like Bihar and Andhra, Punjab should have got a special package, but in the Union Budget, Punjab did not get anything, nor did Punjab get any big industry.
