Netflix aims to curtail password sharing, considers ads

Netflix shares plunged more than 33 per cent in early trading on news its customer base fell by 200-thousand subscribers during the January to March quarter.

In response, the streaming service is looking at cracking down on password sharing and creating a low-cost subscription supported by

advertising.

Netflix shares have lost more than half of their value so far this year, wiping out about 150-billion-dollars in shareholder wealth in less than four months.
