Former state president of Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu did not attend the rally of Congress National President Mallikarujan Kharge in Samrala yesterday.
Except for Sidhu, the entire leadership of Punjab Congress was present in this rally. Earlier, Sidhu had also stayed away from the meetings held under the chairmanship of Punjab Congress affairs in-charge Devendra Yadav.
Reports say that the day after the rally, the Sidhu faction has written a letter to the Congress high command, in which the Samrala rally has been described as a failure.
It says that only around two hundred people were present when the Congress National President was speaking, which is an indication that people are disappointed with the performance of the present leadership of Punjab.
