It is to be noted that recently Amritpal Singh was sworn in as a Member of Parliament, immediately after which he was again sent to jail.

Amritpal Singh, Member of Parliament from Khadur Sahib Lok Sabha seat in Punjab, has written a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker from Dibrugarh Jail. He has written that the monsoon session of the Lok Sabha is starting on July 22 and he should be allowed to attend it.

It is to be noted that recently Amritpal Singh was sworn in as a Member of Parliament, immediately after which he was again sent to jail. He was brought out of Dibrugarh Jail after 1 year 2 months and 12 days to take oath as Member of Parliament.

Whether Amritpal gets permission to attend the monsoon session remains to be seen. Punjab Police arrested Amritpal from Moga on April 23. Since then he is lodged in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam.
