Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is expected to attend the meeting.
The second round of talks between farmers and the central government, amidst the ongoing farmers’ agitation on the Punjab-Haryana borders, will be held on February 22 at 6 PM in Sector 26, Chandigarh. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is expected to attend the meeting.
The non-political Sanyukt Kisan Morcha has confirmed receiving an invitation letter from the central government for the second round of discussions. The first round of talks was also held in Chandigarh on February 14.
However, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was unable to attend the earlier meeting due to personal engagements. On that occasion, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi represented the Centre and held discussions with farmer leaders, including Jagjit Singh Dallewal. The farmers had described the first round of talks as positive.
