Despite the heated atmosphere of the Lok Sabha elections in Punjab, a large number of ex-MLAs, ex-district presidents and constituency in-charges of that faction, including the former president of the Congress party, Navjot Singh Sidhu, have so far kept their distance from participating in the election campaign of the Congress.
So far, no concrete efforts have been made to convince and reconcile this faction by other leaders including the President of the Pradesh Congress Committee, which has started to be considered as a danger bell for the Congress.
On the other hand, State Congress Committee President Raja Waring said that Navjot Singh Sidhu is busy with IPL matches and he will definitely take time to campaign for the party.
