Major action against Navjot Sidhu of Congress: Dimpa put in charge of Amritsar East Constituency

Preparations have started to challenge Navjot Singh Sidhu, the former president of the state Congress, who is keeping a distance from politics in Punjab. Even in Lok Sabha elections 2024, Sidhu neither came to Amritsar nor campaigned for anyone.
After which now the state committee of Congress has handed over the responsibility of Amritsar East constituency to Jasbir Singh Dimpa.
Navjot Sidhu and his wife have been MLAs from this constituency. Congress believes that they can now fight without Sidhu because without his support, Congress has won 7 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.
