Bharatiya Janata Party has been given a big fight by India Alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP on its own seems to be lagging behind the majority by 32 seats, in 2019 the party got 303 seats. However, NDA is seen forming the government with 298 seats. There, the India alliance of Congress, Samajwadi Party and other opposition parties is ahead in 228 seats.

In the trends, the NDA has suffered major losses in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal. P. M.
