The counting of Lok Sabha elections has started. Simranjit Singh Mann of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar from Sangrur seat is the current Member of Parliament, who re-entered Parliament after defeating Aam Aadmi Party in the by-election in 2022.

In the first trends of this time's election results, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair is leading. The current MP Simranjit Singh Mann is running at number two and Congress candidate Sukhpal Khaira is running at number three.

A police officer and 10 other people were taken to hospital after a suspicious fire broke out early Monday morning at an apartment building in Mississauga. Car-Motorcycle Collision in Kelowna, Rider Killed

Kelowna RCMP has confirmed the death of a motorcycle rider following a crash on Highway 97 Thursday night. Police said the collision occurred at around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Ethel Street, involving a black sedan and a motorcycle.
