The Liberal government whip says Bloc Quebecois MP Stephen Lemire should answer questions about a screenshot he took of a naked Liberal MP during virtual parliamentary proceedings last month.

Liberal whip Mark Holland is calling for Lemire to appear before a House of Commons committee.

Quebec MP William Amos has said he was changing his clothes after a jog on April 14th and did not realize his laptop camera was turned on as he was visible on an internal parliamentary feed.

Lemire has apologized for taking the screenshot, but has said he has no idea how the image was released to the media and circulated around the globe.

At a meeting today of the all-party board of internal economy, the governing body of the House of Commons, Liberal whip Mark Holland says Lemire should reveal where he sent the image and what his intent was.

Gunfire damages U.S. Consulate building in Toronto

The U.S. Consulate at the intersection of University Avenue and Armoury Street in downtown Toronto was struck by gunfire early Monday morning, according to Toronto Police. No injuries were reported. Deputy Chief Frank Barredo said the shooting occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. while police officers were already present in the area. Investigators confirmed that at least one bullet struck the front of the consulate building. Police said the suspect fled the scene in a white Honda Accord sedan without licence plates. A man has died following a police-involved shooting in Abbotsford early Monday morning, according to the Abbotsford Police Department. Sgt. Paul Walker said the incident occurred at the Petro-Pass truck stop in the Matsqui Place area near the Trans-Canada Highway.
