The Inspector General (IG) of Kanpur Range, Mohit Agarwal spoke on Kanpur police encounter case. He said, "Today, three police officers have been suspended after their suspicious activities linked to Vikas Dubey surfaced." "25 teams of 40 police stations have been formed to carry out searches to arrest people involved and very soon we will arrest all," Kanpur Range IG added.

Police is doing joint patrolling with team of forest officials and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) to nab Vikas Dubey soon. Lakhimpur district is located near India-Nepal border so there is possibility that the culprit can run away from here.


Explosives, arms and ammunition recovered from Vikas Dubey's residence
Informing about details of Kanpur encounter case, BK Srivastava, SP Kanpur Rural stated that explosives, huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from Vikas Dubey's residence. "Huge cache of arms and ammunition recovered from the residence of Vikas Dubey, during search. Some of the weapons recovered are licensed under names of people associated with him, but they were used by Vikas. The mode of his conduct is that of a naxal," said BK Srivastava, SP Kanpur Rural.


Vikas Dubey's family members disown gangster

Vikas Dubey's family members condemned his act of killing eight police personnel when they went to arrest him in Kanpur's Bikaru. "He did really bad to policemen," Vikas Dubey's sister said while sobbing. "We are not in touch with him since last 5 years. He also cheated us with money. We are now sacred. At this time of coronavirus situation, policemen are doing so much and he did a bad act. Police can do whatever they want to with him," said his niece.
