NDP leader Jagmeet Singh has called on Canadians to unite in response to Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, speaking to reporters in Ottawa, acknowledged that many Canadians may be feeling disappointed today. However, she expressed confidence that Canada would continue to work effectively with the new U.S. administration, assuring that Canada’s sovereignty would remain intact.
