In the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, the people living in Israel and Palestine have appealed to the governments of their respective countries to withdraw them from these places.

Where Canada made a statement on Wednesday that it will airlift the Canadians in the coming days, the Indian government too has started preparations to evacuate the Indians stuck there.

Minister of External Affairs of India S. Jaishankar said that the Indian government will bring back the Indians under Operation Ajay.

The first flight under Operation Ajay will take off on Thursday.

Apart from this, the Indian government has asked to be alert while issuing helpline numbers for Indian people living in both the countries.

External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi posted on social media X and wrote, "A control room has been set up in view of the current situation in Israel and Palestine, which will be operational 24 hours a day."

Bagchi shared a photo saying that these emergency numbers are 1800118797 +91-11 23012113, +91-11-23014104, +91-11-23017905 and +919968291988.
