Apart from Congress Parliamentary Party president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also attended the India block meeting held at Kharge's house. This alliance of opposition parties has got a total of 234 seats, while the support of 272 MPs is required to form the government.

However, the BJP managed to win 240 seats on its own despite the coming together of opposition parties. The party lost the most seats in UP.
