NDP House Leader Peter Julian is demanding the resignation of House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota.
The matter started when a man who fought for the Nazis was invited to attend a speech by the President of Ukraine.
While apologizing for this in the House of Commons, Speaker Rota said that he alone was responsible for inviting this person to Parliament and the federal government had no role in it.
Yaroslav Hunka was invited by Speaker Anthony Rota to come to the Parliament and he was also introduced in the House of Commons by the Speaker himself.
The MPs gave a standing ovation on this.
Leader of the Government in the House of Commons Karina Gould says that the whole incident is embarrassing to them and should be expunged from the records till this mention.
