The New Westminster Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in the search for missing person Surinderjit Mattu.

Mr. Mattu was last seen on October 27th at approximately 11:30pm in the Brow of the Hill neighbourhood of New Westminster. Mr. Mattu’s health care team is concerned for his well-being as he is without medicine he takes daily. Mr. Mattu is described as a 61 year old South Asian man with a medium build, standing approximately 5’9" tall, with a white beard.

"Mr. Mattu has been known to frequent sports fields in New Westminster and move through the city using public transit," stated Sergeant Justine Thom. "We’re asking for the public’s help in locating Mr. Mattu as soon as possible so we can ensure his well-being."

The federal government has introduced legislation that would establish a regulatory framework for launching spacecraft from Canadian territory.
