Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare, who won the Lok Sabha elections from Sangrur in Punjab, became MLA from Barnala Vidhan Sabha seat. has resigned, along with this, the seats of 4 MLAs who won the Lok Sabha elections in the state have become vacant and by-elections may be announced soon.

It is to be noted that Dera Baba Nanak, Giddarbaha, Chabewal Constituency of Hoshiarpur and Barnala were the Vidhan Sabha constituencies, from where MLAs are now MPs. have reached the Lok Sabha as per the rules and it was mandatory for them to give up one seat.

Man Who Allegedly Threatened to Kill PM Mark Carney Identified

A 31-year-old Calgary man accused of making death threats against Prime Minister Mark Carney has been identified as Jamie Da Costa, who will remain in custody. Bomb Threat Forces Emergency Landing of IndiGo Flight in Ahmedabad

An IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport on Thursday evening after receiving a bomb threat. Police said IndiGo flight 6E97 landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at around 5:45 p.m. local time.
