Flights have started from Sahnewal Airport in Ludhiana, Punjab from Wednesday.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann arrived at Sahnewal to flag off the new airport.

He said that the flight time starting from Sahnewal Airport to Delhi-NCR is about an hour.

Along with this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that flights from Ludhiana to Hindon have started.

He said that the rent for the initial three months will be Rs 999.

The work at Halwara terminal is also going on, and funds have been released by the government.

Chief Minister Mann said international flights to London, Toronto and New York are expected to start from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Mohali International Airport.

70 percent of Punjabis travel at Delhi Airport as well.

If international flights start from Punjab itself, then the hassle of going to Delhi will be removed.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that flight operations will also start from Adampur in the month of October.

Independent B.C. legislator Jordan Kealy has been charged with sexual assault, according to the British Columbia Prosecution Service. 12 killed in Sri Lanka nursing home fire; investigation underway

A fire at a nursing home in western Sri Lanka killed 12 residents and injured eight others, according to Sri Lankan police.
