An FIR at police station Guru Har Sahai was registered against candidate Surendra Kamboj and one unknown person under section 171F of IPC, 126 and 132 of Representation of People's Act 1951.

As polling for the seventh and last phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is underway, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Ferozepur Lok Sabha candidate Surinder Kamboj was filmed by an unidentified person using the electronic voting machine (EVM).

He is from parliamentary constituency 10 Ferozepur and was casting vote on polling station 97, village Jiva Rai, PS Guruharshai.

An FIR at police station Guru Har Sahai was registered against candidate Surendra Kamboj and one unknown person under section 171F of IPC, 126 and 132 of Representation of People's Act 1951.

That video has gone viral.According to ECI rules no voter can take photographs or make videos while casting his vote so that it remains a secret to which party or which candidate he or she has cast his vote for.
