The main contest from here is between Charanjit Singh Channi of Congress, Sushil Kumar Rinku of BJP and Pawan Kumar Tinu of AAP.

Counting of votes for Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat has started. First the ballot papers were counted, after which the EVM was opened. According to the first trend, Congress candidate and former CM Charanjit Singh Channi is leading.

There are 9 assembly constituencies under this constituency, which include urban Jalandhar West, North, Central and Cantonment seats, while rural constituencies include Kartarpur, Adampur, Phillaur, Shahkot and Nakodar constituencies.

The main contest from here is between Charanjit Singh Channi of Congress, Sushil Kumar Rinku of BJP and Pawan Kumar Tinu of AAP. Apart from this, Akali Dal's Mahendra Singh KP and BSP's advocate Balwinder Kumar are also in the fray.
