The New York Fire Department said there were no reports of damage. City Governor Kathy Hochul said in a social media post that tremors were felt across the state.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 was felt in New York City on Friday morning. The earth shook with a magnitude of 5.8 in Myanmar as well.
