Earthquake shakes New York City area

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 was felt in New York City on Friday morning. The earth shook with a magnitude of 5.8 in Myanmar as well.

The New York Fire Department said there were no reports of damage. City Governor Kathy Hochul said in a social media post that tremors were felt across the state. It is to be noted that on April 3, an earthquake of magnitude 7.5 occurred in Taiwan.

More than 100 buildings, many roads, bridges and tunnels have been damaged in this. More than 50 people are still reported missing. Among them are two Indians, who were last seen in Taroko National Park. This park was very close to the epicenter.
