The swearing-in ceremony of Delhi's new Chief Minister and cabinet will take place at Ramlila Maidan tomorrow. The BJP has named Rekha Gupta, a first-time MLA, as the new Chief Minister. She will be the fourth woman to hold this position in Delhi, following Sushma Swaraj, Sheila Dikshit, and Atishi.
Rekha Gupta, the MLA from Shalimar Bagh constituency, won by a margin of over 29,000 votes, defeating AAP candidate Bandana Kumari. Gupta has been affiliated with the RSS since her college days and currently serves as the General Secretary of the Delhi BJP as well as the National Vice President of BJP Mahila Morcha.
According to reports, the RSS proposed Rekha Gupta's name as Delhi’s Chief Minister, and the party has officially endorsed the decision.
