Canada's Conservative Party is calling for a parliamentary debate on Canada-US trade relations in January before Donald Trump assumes the presidency.

The Conservatives have expressed a lack of confidence in the Liberals' strategy following Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland's resignation, citing her key role in handling US relations.

Party leader Pierre Poilievre criticized NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, accusing him of inconsistency for supporting Trudeau last week but now demanding his resignation. Poilievre labeled Singh as hypocritical and accused Trudeau, Singh, Freeland, and Mark Carney of prioritizing personal interests over national concerns.
