Charanjit Singh Channi, who became a Member of Parliament from the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat of Punjab, has also become active for the by-election of the West Vidhan Sabha constituency.

He has held a meeting with ward presidents, ward incharges and other leaders related to the constituency and has also made it clear that none of his family members or relatives will contest this by-election and no outside candidate will get a ticket from West constituency. .

Charanjit Channi said that whoever will be the candidate, he will belong to the constituency.

On the other hand, the Shiromani Akali Dal has also called a party meeting yesterday and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also encouraged the Aam Aadmi Party leaders to vigorously prepare for the by-elections of Jalandhar West Vidhan Sabha constituency. Voting on this seat vacated by Sheetal Angural is to be held on July 10.

No injuries reported after shots fired from moving vehicle at Nanaimo park

Nanaimo RCMP are investigating after shots were reportedly fired from a moving vehicle toward people gathered at a local park on Wednesday evening.
