Chandigarh University Chancellor Dr. Satnam Sandhu nominated for Rajya Sabha

The Government of India has nominated Chandigarh University Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu to the Rajya Sabha. The government said in the notification that Satnam Singh Sandhu is also a farmer and he also fought commendably in the field of education.

He is credited with establishing Chandigarh Group of Colleges and Chandigarh University in Mohali. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar congratulated Satnam Singh Sandhu on his Rajya Sabha membership.

The Shiromani Akali Dal also termed it as a commendable step. Majithia said that we hope that Satnam Singh Sandhu will work hard for Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat.
