The athlete who carried the Canadian flag at the opening ceremonies of the Tokyo Paralympics has won a silver medal.

Priscilla Gagne of Sarnia, Ontario came in second in the women's 52-kilo judo competition.

It was one of two silver medals Canadians won today.

Track cyclist Kate O'Brien finished second in the women's C-4 500-metre time trial.

Canada has now won a total of 6 medals at the Tokyo Paralympics.

It includes 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.
